Course Description :
This course starts with the sources of the study of the Arabian Peninsula. Then it deals with the local Powers in the Peninsula . the wahabi movement and the Saudi family, the imamate in Yemen, the Bo-Said in Muscat; the sheriffs in Hijaz, al-Rashid in Hail, and the tribal system in Kuwait , Bahrin-Qatar…etc. Then it covers the Ottoman control over the Peninsula and the Gulf Area, Finally it covers cultural Political and diplomatic life in the Peninsula.
